| About
the Photographer: Cari Rincker was raised on a Simmental cattle ranch in Shelbyville, Illinois and grew up showing cattle through 4-H and FFA. She is the daughter of Curt and Pam Rincker and her brother’s name is Brent. Cari was significantly involved with both the Illinois and American Junior Simmental Association and has had taken cover pictures for the Register and SimTalk. In addition, Cari participated on the collegiate livestock judging teams at Lake Land Junior College and Texas A & M University where she received her B.S. in Animal Science. She went on to complete her M.S. in Ruminant Nutrition at the University of Illinois with her research concentrating in the area of genetic markers for marbling in early-weaned Simmental steers. Currently, she is a third year law student at Pace University in White Plains, New York working on concentrations in Environmental and International law. She continues to enjoy judging livestock shows and taking cattle photography in her free time. Cari’s other hobbies include marathon running, playing volleyball, watching Aggie Football & Illini basketball, and travelling internationally. |
